OBITUARY + EXQUISITE PUS
Salamander room (l'Hospitalet del llobregat, Barcelona)

As everyone knows, on September 4th Salamandra hosted one of the greats of Death, Obituary, along with the young promises Exquisite Pus.
The concert started on time and the Murcians appeared on stage. I have to confess that I did not know in depth the work of Exquisite Pus but I enjoyed like the most of its death metal. A group really worthy of being the opening act for the greats of Death. The public was very receptive to the band and awarded them with the occasional circle pit. Exquisite Pus said goodbye with a version of Cannibal Corpse that prepared the atmosphere a lot.
It was time for the great Obituary. These were already in the final stretch of their tour, but they were not noticed at all, the moment they appeared on stage they left all fatigue behind and gave their best, no doubt about that.
The tour started almost a year ago and they have already performed about 100 times. The tour was motivated by the presentation of their album "Darkest DSC_2098Day" but this time the set-list was not exclusively based on songs from the new album but he alternated with the band classics that each and every one of us wanted to hear. They opened with "Redneck Stomp." When the first notes began to sound, the Obituary components appeared, all except the singer. With "Frozen In Time" appeared the one that everyone and EVERYONE expected. During the concert they delighted us with songs like: "Turned Inside Out", "Dying", Rotting Ways "etc ...
In general, finish off as I have said before, an audience that did not stop still (some got on stage), punctual, very grateful and receptive to the bands and above all a special mention for the sound that Salamandra always offers us.
